If you are a small business and are trying to attract people to your social networking channels then paying for them is a way of doing it, not for the purpose of increasing sales but as a way to make your social channels and your business as a whole look bigger.
Buying Facebook followers is a very touchy subject, some people say that paying for likes and followers is a waste of time as these new profiles who follow you are not “targeted” – in other words they have not decided to follow you because they are interested in your products and services, they have just followed you because they are paid to do so.
We say that not only is it a "waste of time" it actually HARMS your business! Let me explain...
Facebook has algorithms that decide who should see the posts from your FB page – you would think that everyone who is follower of your business Facebook page would see your updates but that's not the case, Facebook works out how popular / interesting your previous posts have been by looking at how many people have "interacted" with your post's – commenting, liking etc.
If you previous post's have not generated any likes or comments then Facebook automatically assumes your posts are uninteresting or "spammy" and limits the reach of your future posts – and there is NOTHING you can do about it.
So... Do you really think that the 10,000 Facebook followers you are thinking of buying are real people who will interact with your posts? Nope... neither do we – and that's the problem, having 10,000 page followers who do not interact with your business page is a death sentence for your page.
Instead you should concentrate on creating great content for your Facebook page – advertise special offers etc by all means but also make your posts fun – that way people will be more likely to interact with them and if you are desperate to increase the number of followers your page has then try paying to BOOST your post(s) on Facebook... If you content is good then people will naturally follow your page and those people WILL interact with your future posts.
