Designed to turn local data into something people can actually use
Fylde Coast needed to bring a lot of useful local information together without making visitors feel like they were reading a spreadsheet. The site gives residents, visitors, and people thinking about moving to the area clear routes into crime data, schools, housing, environment records, food hygiene ratings, events, businesses, and hidden gems.
The design balances official data with a warmer local-guide feel, using strong place navigation, snapshot panels, maps, and simple explanations to make public information easier to browse.
It is a good example of a content-rich website that still feels quick, approachable, and easy to explore on mobile.
